So many idiots buy into the fear mongering of the media and governments. Media wants to keep you on tv to see their ads and the governments are trying to not overwhelm their shitty health care systems. Meanwhile the UN and all those institutions not elected by us are taking advantage of that fear to pass draconian surveillance measures. Simple as that, thats why you hear about the going back to the "new normal" instead of "normal". There have been pandemics in the past but people didnt give up their freedoms for them.
