went to the psicologist because of this, turns out this thoughs are normal and is simply our brain trying to find an alternative way to end the continuous suffering/stress/sadness/pain we all suffer daily or in our life due to "responsabilities, social-love situation, expectations in life, living conditions, work-college, money issues" etc

Its so painful that you stop after you briefly incise your skin. The pain makes your brain go into survival mode and you can think straight again. Happens to me when im depressed and apathetic, I just press the knife on my finger or hand and it actually helps 'wake up' from that stupid state.
