Món canh là một trong những món ăn không thể thiếu của bữa cơm gia đình. Sẽ ngon hơn khi bạn kết hợp cá ba sa với thơm, chua chua của me, mặn mặn rất đậm đà.
Cá ba sa làm sạch, cắt khúc, ướp với 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm. Đậu bắp cắt xéo, bạc hà tước vỏ, cắt xéo. Thơm bỏ mắt, cắt miếng vừa ăn, giá đỗ rửa sạch còn ngò gai, ngò om rửa sạch, cắt nhỏ.
Cà chua rửa sạch, cắt múi cau. Me ngâm nước ấm, dầm nhuyễn, lọc qua rây lấy nước cốt me, bỏ bã.
Làm nóng 2 muỗng canh dầu ăn, cho cá ba sa vào, chiên sơ qua 2 mặt. Vớt cá ra đĩa, để riêng.
Xào cà chua với 2 muỗng canh dầu ăn trong nồi khoảng 2 phút. Đổ 500ml nước vào, nấu sôi.
Khi nước sôi, cho nước cốt me, cá ba sa, đậu bắp, bạc hà, thơm, ngò om, ngò gai, giá đỗ vào, nấu cùng. Nêm gia vị 1 muỗng cà phê muối, 1/2 muỗng cà phê bột ngọt, 1 muỗng cà phê đường trắng cho vừa ăn, nấu thêm 1 phút.
Tắt bếp, múc canh ra tô, để nguội. Thêm ớt vào nếu muốn ăn cay và dùng với cơm.
